50 KM dari pusat Kota Pacitan, dan 5 KM dari perbatasan Kab. Ponorogo, tepatnya di sebuah bukit di Desa Tahunan Baru, Kec. Tegalombo, Kab. Pacitan, pada Tahun 2003 berdirilah SMPN 3 Tegalombo.
